Slide Objects - Text and Images


The Slide Objects represent the animated texts and images that fill out the scene as the slides follow one after another.

A slide can contain any number of objects. Note that despite the visual order in the Content/Graphics list, the actual order in which the object appears is also determined by the Delay parameter from the Transitions screen below.

General Settings

Visually, this section looks like in the image below.



Following settings exist on this screen:
  • Name: The name is used only in administration screen to quickly identify objects.

  • Position: These coordinates determine the final position of the object, after the effects and transitions have completed.

  • Width: Use this option to specify the text width which determines where the text goes on next line. If not specified, the text takes full available width.

  • Link URL: When specified, Dynamic Rotator will open this link when the user clicks inside this object's area. Use other when the protocol for your link is not in the dropdown or when you're specifying a relative URL.

  • Resource URL: Instruct Dynamic Rotator where to find this resource. Use other when the protocol for your link is not in the dropdown or when you're specifying a relative URL.

  • Text: Note that you can use HTML tags (such as <i>,<b>,<u>,<a>,<font>, etc) to format the text. This field can contain My Tokens (only supported for DotNetNuke) 

Effects


Visually, this section looks like in the image below.



Following settings exist on this screen:
  • Opacity: Use this option to have the object fade into the background. You can also use this option to hide objects you're not ready to delete by setting it to 0.

  • Glow: The glow is a border displayed around the object. If you put a dark color you'll obtain a shadow effect. To disable this option, set the size and strength to 0.

  • Text Color: Remember that you can override this color for parts of the content by using HTML tags in the content.

  • Text Background: Optionally, you can display the text inside a colored rectangle. Use these field to determine the background color and opacity. To disable this option, set opacity to 0.

  • Text Padding: When the text background is specified, use the option to determine how much space exists between the background border and the text inside.

Transitions


Visually, this section looks like in the image below.



Following settings exist on this screen:

  • Delay: This option determined how many seconds to wait before the object enters the scene.

  • Duration: Use this option to specify the duration of transition effects.

  • Appear with: Use this option to determined how the object enters the scene (possible values: Fade or Slide).

  • Appear from: When object enter the scene with the slide effect, use this option to determine the direction it slides from (Top/Bottom/Left/Right).

  • Move Type: Specify initial movement type when object enters the scene with slide effect (possible values: Strong/Bounce/Elastic).

  • Easing Type: Easing determines how the movement of the object varies after it enters the scene (possible values: In/Out/InOut).

  • Effect: Optionally, specify an effect to apply to the object.
